On July 23, 2025 the official trailer for the much awaited KYGO: BACK AT THE BOWL, produced by DJ-music maker Kygo and CJ 4DPLEX, the world’s top provider of premium movie formats and cinematographic technologies, was released. Set for a global cinematic release on Friday, September 26, following Kygo’s sold-out performance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, the movie is especially made for CJ 4DPLEX‘s immersive SCREENX format and programmed for the ultimate concert experience in 4DX

The concert film, directed by Grammy-nominated and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Sam Wrench (“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” “Billie Eilish Live at the O2”), presents remixed and remastered soundscapes enhanced by stunning visuals that capture the energy of the packed performance. All filmed in 8K with 18 cameras to fully utilize the 270-degree SCREENX format, the cinematic experience includes extended imagery and special behind-the-scenes footage. 

The film Back at the Bowl by KYGO will premiere in theatres worldwide in all forms, including PLF, 4DX, SCREENX, and 2D screens. With screen-side extensions across the theater’s walls, SCREENX enhances the more conventional movie-going experience. This premium 270-degree panoramic display enhances images and fully immerses audiences in a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience making viewers feel like they are right there in the crowd. 4DX incorporates more than 21 different environmental effects, such as motion, vibration, water, wind, lightning, and scents, perfectly synchronizes with the music and on-screen action for the ultimate concert experience.

The concert features Kygo and guest vocalists performing hits from throughout his career including “Higher Love” and “It Ain’t Me;” multi-Grammy winner Ryan Tedder makes his first-ever live performance of their song “Chasing Paradise;” Ava Max sings with Kygo on a live rendition of their hit song “Whatever,” from Kygo’s self-titled album; Zara Larsson joins Kygo for a live version of their song “Like It Is;” plus apperances with Calum Scott, Justin Jesso, Parson James, and more.

The Concert Film will be Showcased in CJ 4DPLEX’s Premium SCREENX and 4DX Premium Theaters along with PLF and 2D Theaters Globally on September 26, 2025.
