HI-LO

Label boss HI-LO, aka Oliver Heldens, has released his first solo track of 2025, titled “United In Trance,” through his label HILOMATIK. Following earlier successful releases, this new song features a strong techno-trance mix that highlights his musical style. Debuted at Ultra Music Festival, it received support from prominent DJs like Armin van Buuren and Afrojack. “United In Trance” is expected to be a popular anthem on dance floors worldwide.

“When I started this track during ADE week in 2023, I just wanted to make a full-on Trance anthem for my Oliver Heldens alias, but as I was developing the idea, it became more of a HI-LO techno trance banger. Trance music has served as a bridge between the two projects over the last few years; it’s something that unites them, especially in my versatile, higher-energy Oliver Heldens sets. That’s why I called this track ‘United In Trance.’ The reactions on the track have been amazing in both my HI-LO and Oliver Heldens sets in completely different contexts, so I’m very excited for this one to be finally released!” – HI-LO

“United In Trance” is available now on HILOMATIK.

Frankyeffe – Out Of This World EP

Tim Stark

Frankyeffe’s calling it an “EP”, though others might argue it’s closer to a full album. Either way, ‘Out Of This World’ makes one thing abundantly clear: when it comes to midnight studio oil and full-throated clubland firepower, Italy’s Francesco Fava’s not a man to do things by halves. Fresh from his ‘One More Night’ outing […]

Waking Up In A Northern Town by Christian Burns

Tim Stark

There’s been a long tradition of musicians from the north of England honouring their origins through their recordings – one that dates back as far as The Beatles’ penning ‘Penny Lane’. ‘North Country Boy’, ‘Hit The North’, ‘Life In A ‘Northern Town’, ‘The North At Its Heights’, ‘It’s Grim Up North’ – just a few […]
