Tseba
Tseba

Australian DJ and producer Tseba still delights fans with a series of releases that capture his genre-bending approach and lively, upbeat feel since starting in 2021. Along with tastemakers on Spotify editorial playlists, his most recent singles and remixes have seen him work with performers including Wongo on club song “Who R We?,” as well as gain backing from industry titans Fatboy Slim, X Club, and Mr. Belt & Wezol. A naturally talented DJ, his live performance is a daring compilation of bootlegs, deep house cuts, and unpublished music; a cheerful voyage through past and present fusing house, disco, and soul that keeps clubgoers on the dance floor for hours on end. One of Australia’s most promising electronic performers, Tseba keeps gaining ground.

Following his plunge into the underground in April to commemorate HEXAGON’s 10-year anniversary and new musical direction with “Freek Like Me,” Don Diablo keeps club-driven evolution with “The Devil Works Hard,” a fresh dark collaboration with genre-melding Australian producer Tseba, marking Don’s debut on the legendary Sweat It Out label. Anchored by a funny, spoken-word vocal – “The devil works hard, but the DJ works harder,” the song develops into a rolling, bass-driven groove that evokes the raw energy of late-night house parties and the pared-down beat of early UK garage. With sophisticated, modern flair, it’s a sleek, understated, classic production that pays homage to the origins of club culture while propelling forward. A covert weapon in Don’s sets for months, “The Devil Works Hard” chronicles Don’s partnership with Nelly Furtado from May and shows the convergence point between two forward-thinking artists not scared to let the beat speak for itself. The Dutch multi-platinum singer is expected to have a big year in 2025. Continue reading below for the artist’s comments on the fresh release:

This year, my goal is to bring the energy back to the dance floor. Teaming up with Tseba for this one felt like the perfect match – ‘The Devil Works Hard‘ is a solid blend of both our sonic identities and it’s been a secret weapon in my sets for a few months now. We aimed for this one to feel like a classic house anthem that is both timeless as well as forward-thinking from a production standpoint. Super hyped to finally share this one with the rest of the world.” – Don Diablo

Don Diablo has been on my radar for a long time so it was incredible having an opportunity to write something together. Devil Works Hard feels like an engaging confluence of our two styles.” – Tseba

“The Devil Works Hard” is out now through Sweat It Out.

Frankyeffe – Out Of This World EP

Tim Stark

Frankyeffe’s calling it an “EP”, though others might argue it’s closer to a full album. Either way, ‘Out Of This World’ makes one thing abundantly clear: when it comes to midnight studio oil and full-throated clubland firepower, Italy’s Francesco Fava’s not a man to do things by halves. Fresh from his ‘One More Night’ outing […]

Push – Known Universe

Tim Stark

This summer, Push returns to the album format with ‘Known Universe’ – the eighth longplayer in his eminent career. The one that Mike Dierlickx painstakingly reassembled in order to reconnect with the tools, challenges and workflows of his original environment. In […]

Waking Up In A Northern Town by Christian Burns

Tim Stark

There’s been a long tradition of musicians from the north of England honouring their origins through their recordings – one that dates back as far as The Beatles’ penning ‘Penny Lane’. ‘North Country Boy’, ‘Hit The North’, ‘Life In A ‘Northern Town’, ‘The North At Its Heights’, ‘It’s Grim Up North’ – just a few […]
