Because the original licences expired, repressing the earlier albums wasn’t viable. Instead, Dave Lee went back to the source and secured a new one-time deal with Sony Music (who own Philly Int, Arista, Columbia, Epic, RCA) to press a strictly limited selection of his Sony-owned remixes.
