GRiZ

GRiZ keeps the momentum from his 2025 return going strong with a powerful new single called “Coast 2 Coast” featuring British grime star Flowdan. Ahead of his much awaited comeback to the stage this fall with a series of U.S. shows, the track comes on the heels of GRiZ’s most recent collaboration “Chaos Theory” with Wooli, and the soon to be released and highly anticipated “Gemini” EP

“Coast 2 Coast” is a transatlantic sound fight that mixes GRiZ’s futuristic bass work with Flowdan’s unique, hard-hitting bars. Originally created around Flowdan’s sampled voice from Sammy Virji‘s “Shellaverse,” the song swiftly became a crowd favorite when artists like Subtronics, Tape B, Wooli, and Levity helped promote it after GRiZ played it for friends during his vacation. Flowdan, encouraged by the reaction, created a completely different topline for the official release, therefore making this version totally unique and never-before-heard in any live performance or mix.

“Coast 2 Coast” is a strong addition to GRiZ‘s genre-hopping repertoire and a pivotal point in his 2025 return as it combines grime attitude with explosive festival-ready sound design. Along with the debut is an Zach Okami (Isoknock, Bad Bunny) visual, which reinterprets Flowdan’s performance through a highly stylised visual narrative.

“Coast 2 Coast” is out now. Stream it here.

Frankyeffe – Out Of This World EP

Tim Stark

Frankyeffe’s calling it an “EP”, though others might argue it’s closer to a full album. Either way, ‘Out Of This World’ makes one thing abundantly clear: when it comes to midnight studio oil and full-throated clubland firepower, Italy’s Francesco Fava’s not a man to do things by halves. Fresh from his ‘One More Night’ outing […]

This summer, Push returns to the album format with ‘Known Universe’ – the eighth longplayer in his eminent career. Waking Up In A Northern Town by Christian Burns

Tim Stark

There’s been a long tradition of musicians from the north of England honouring their origins through their recordings – one that dates back as far as The Beatles’ penning ‘Penny Lane’. ‘North Country Boy’, ‘Hit The North’, ‘Life In A ‘Northern Town’, ‘The North At Its Heights’, ‘It’s Grim Up North’ – just a few […]
