DJ Hydra, an emerging artist in the Afro House music scene, will launch his new label, Suru Records, this summer. This move comes as his career grows, with an expanding event schedule and releases on respected labels like OVAVA Music. His first release, “Bamidele,” which will be released on May 30, 2025. is gaining global attention. This track blends deep African rhythms with modern electronic sounds, showcasing DJ Hydra’s talent. 

“Bamidele,” which translates to “Follow me home” in Yoruba, is a heartfelt homage to his heritage and a personal reflection on his identity. DJ Hydra aims to unite listeners through this musical journey. Inspired by artists such as Black Coffee, he has developed a unique sound that appeals to both small venues and large festivals, striving to innovate within the Afro House genre. Recently signed to OVAVA Music by Ollie Mundy, he has already had two tracks picked for release, highlighting his distinct style. 

As he prepares for a significant year, “Bamidele” is anticipated to be a key release for DJ Hydra and Suru Records, with planned promotions and support from industry leaders.

“Bamidele” will be released on May 30, 2025.
