Beatselector Shop

Two legendary names from the stateside house scene, together on one track, for the first time, and bringing you a message of unfiltered positivity!

In the studio corner, we have Miami’s Robbie Rivera, he of “Funk-A-Tron,” “Girlfried,” “Back To Zero” and “Rock The Disco” acclaim, all coupled to his fabled Juicy Music sound. Over on the vocal side, there’s “The Minister Of Sound” himself, Chicago’s Ron Carroll, whose gospel lick has graced everything from Barbara Tucker’s “I Get Lifted;” French house classics including Kluster’s “My Love,” Superfunk’s “Lucky Star” and his Bob Sinclar/Axwell collab, “What A Wonderful World.” Together, they share “Love Message” … and it’s one everyone needs to hear.

Robbie & Ron’s generational attunement could hardly be tighter, with both artists coming off the mid-‘90s release blocks within a year of one another. And better believe there are references, nods and throwbacks aplenty to that throughout “Love Message.”

Through the groove of his drums and percussive, shuffling hi-hats, Rivera brings the floor persuasion, while the heart’s delivered through Detroit strings, snares and orchestral stabs. On the mic meanwhile, Ron preaches his club sermon, urging those gathered to “seek love,” “run after love” … “chase it!” … “cos it’s the only thing that will make us one …

Love is the message and this message is “Love Message”! Find it through all good sales and streaming channels here. [magikmuzik.lnk.to/LoveMessage]

John O’Callaghan: “Music Takes Me Higher”

Tim Stark

One year. Ten tracks. No excuses and (naturally!) zero compromises – at 2025’s outset, that’s the challenge John O’Callaghan laid down for himself. With his eighth, the towering “Music Takes Me Higher,” safe to say he’s smashing his way towards that in style. His studio journey kicked off in ‘Memphis’, progressing to explore some “Crystal Caverns” […]
