Amnesia Ibiza

Amnesia Opening Party Spans Over 24 Hours and Three Venues as the Iconic Ibiza Club Celebrates 50 Years of Dancing.

Following an historic opening party, Amnesia – Ibiza’s home of underground clubbing for 50 years – completes the season calendar for a summer celebrating five decades of music and movement with new residencies, anniversary events, and cultural collaborations.

Spanning three venues and over 24 hours of music, the start of Amnesia Ibiza’s 2026 season was a statement. From a warm-up at Cova-Santa, to a 12-hour marathon at Amnesia with Josh Baker and Joseph Capriati closing the iconic terrace at midday, to an open-invite after-party at Es Paradis that defied the Ibiza trope of exclusive villa parties and stayed true to the club’s inclusive legacy that puts experience and community first.

It’s a promise underpinning a summer led by feeling and not by empty statements. Words that become action; a consistent message with a clear vision, focusing on what truly matters: real connection, shared emotion, and music and dance as a universal language.

“The opening was a true manifestation of the spirit of Amnesia. The dancing, the energy – it felt like a party from 20 years ago. Those nights are the reason we do this; they’re the reason why we’re still here.”– Martin Ferrer (CEO & Artistic Director, Amnesia)

For half a century, the internationally renowned Ibiza institution has maintained its place at the forefront of electronic music; the Amnesia name represents much more than just cutting-edge electronic music – it’s become a place to forget, to remember, and to lose yourself in a club that defiantly refuses to lose sight of what’s important: experience.

This summer is no different.

The backbone of the season, this summer’s residencies balance genres and sounds from returning brands and exclusive debuts.

Mondays will see the return of two of 2025’s most successful nights, with KETTAMA’s Steel City hosting throughout June and July, and Ben Hemsley’s NRG across August and September – expect a heavyweight mix of house, techno, trance, and everything in between.

On Tuesdays, the dancefloor demanded, and Joseph Capriati listened as his Metamorfosi night makes a much-welcomed return. With a characteristically exquisite sound selection that brings names including Yanamaste and Ben Klock to the Main Room, and Capriati himself alongside top tier guests in the Terrace cabin each week. RESISTANCE returns to Wednesday nights with its brand of techno and house, led this season by Adam BeyerArtbatBoris Brejcha, and Eric Prydz, while Thursdays see the debut of the UK’s Josh Baker with his You&Me brand.

The island’s favourite disco heavyweight Glitterbox makes its Amnesia debut every Friday alongside Rememberland. A change of pace on Saturdays as Bresh returns with its inimitable blend of reggaeton and pop, while the week rounds off on Sunday with the legendary Pyramid delivering all things house, techno, and all the minimal sounds in between. Reinforcing its identity with eclectic lineups focused on raw, quality electronic music including Jeff MillsFumiya Tanaka, and Richie Hawtin, and historic B2B sets featuring artists like Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano that honour the 50th anniversary of the clubbing temple.

Alongside the regular fixtures, the summer will be interspersed with additional collaborations, one-offs, and special events that showcase the truly diverse musical palette that has been the driving force behind Amnesia for the last five decades.

From Max Dean’s NEXUP to Sven Väth’s iconic Cocoon, classic brands including Hacienda 51 – who will be bringing a live orchestra to the iconic terrace – and Godskitchen, alongside the tougher sounds of Teletech and Universo Makina; this summer is about representing the foundations that the club was built on.

This summer, Jean-Michel Jarre will make his Ibiza debut, Marlon Hoffstadt will host a free rave on the club’s roof, and the iconic foam party will even make a return for one night only. Club favourites like Do Not Sleep, Amnesia’s Ibiza Trance events, and Kevin & Perry sit alongside events like Outset, making this summer one of the club’s most eclectic and diverse calendars ever.

It’s an anniversary that carries clear message – an invitation to dance from a club that has shaped lives, relationships, and careers. A place powered by a legacy that has defined dance culture across generations. Since 1976, Amnesia has remained a sanctuary for those who put the room before the image. A space built on music and atmosphere, and a lasting commitment to what matters.

As a constant in the island’s ever-evolving landscape, Amnesia has remained focused on the room, the music, and the people inside it. Its legacy a defining proof that feeling lasts. Everything else fades as noise. A meeting point for scenes, cultures, and identities, history written in sound. Amnesia exists to be lost in. To disappear. To let go. The dancefloor as equal ground.

Frankyeffe – Out Of This World EP

Tim Stark

Frankyeffe’s calling it an “EP”, though others might argue it’s closer to a full album. Either way, ‘Out Of This World’ makes one thing abundantly clear: when it comes to midnight studio oil and full-throated clubland firepower, Italy’s Francesco Fava’s not a man to do things by halves. Fresh from his ‘One More Night’ outing […]

Waking Up In A Northern Town by Christian Burns

Tim Stark

There’s been a long tradition of musicians from the north of England honouring their origins through their recordings – one that dates back as far as The Beatles’ penning ‘Penny Lane’. ‘North Country Boy’, ‘Hit The North’, ‘Life In A ‘Northern Town’, ‘The North At Its Heights’, ‘It’s Grim Up North’ – just a few […]
