Darren Styles & Toneshifterz-Clarity
L-to-R: Darren Styles, Toneshifterz

Hard dance powerhouses – UK’s Darren Styles and Aussie Toneshifterz team up and unleash the first-ever hard dance rework of Zedd‘s iconic fan-favorite hit “Clarity,” released on June 13 via the well-respected Dutch label Be Yourself Music. A bold reimagining rather than a simple cover, the track preserves the emotional gravitas of the original – its soaring vocals and poignant lyrics – while catapulting it into festival territory with sky-high BPMs, euphoric piano builds, and an explosive, uplifting hardstyle drop. Honoring the timelessness of the original, both producers transform “Clarity” into a cathartic, hands-in-the-air anthem that channels nostalgia and emotional release through a modern hard dance lens. “‘Clarity’ transcended genres and became emotionally iconic,” the artists explain. “This wasn’t just about remixing a hit – it was about giving hard dance its own moment of beauty, vulnerability, and pure energy.”

When we first discussed the idea, it wasn’t just about covering a hit. It wasn’t even just about how naturally those vocals worked together without production. ‘Clarity‘ is one of those rare tracks that transcended genres and became emotionally iconic. Its lyrics hit a universal nerve – love, loss, vulnerability – all of which resonate deeply with both of our fanbases. And in a genre that thrives on energy but craves emotional release, that really mattered. We both felt that hard dance hadn’t yet had its own version of ‘Clarity‘ – a moment that felt euphoric and nostalgic, yet still fresh. We’d already been playing edits with the original vocals, and it had become a staple in our live sets. So this wasn’t just a cover – it was a tribute. A reimagining. A way to turn something timeless into a cathartic, hands-in-the-air anthem for the dance floor that truly speaks to who we are and where we come from.” – Toneshifterz and Darren Styles

Nas, Ownership Over Clout, And The Blueprint For Generational Wealth

Shon Murdock

In hip-hop, wealth has often been measured in visible success, diamond chains, foreign cars, and sold-out arenas. But real power has always lived somewhere quieter, in ownership. Few artists have embodied that evolution more strategically than Nas, a lyricist who turned street poetry into boardroom leverage and transformed rap earnings into generational equity. From the […]

Solarstone And Susie Ledge Release New Single-“Haunt Me”

Tim Stark

Bold prediction perhaps, but we’ll say it anyway: “Haunt Me”‘s a one-and-done — the kind of record that locks you in on first listen and plays on loop in the mind, long after the speakers have gone quiet. In that instant catch, there’s a certain irony too, as, for the first time in his career, […]

Christian Burns Releases Darker Days (Original & Avenue One Mixes)

Tim Stark

From the forward-looking, Jan-hopeful lean of his most recent single “Fall To You,” Christian Burns moves onto the slightly less sanguine sounding “Darker Days.” After all, every lighter yin must result in some shadowy yang, right?? Well not necessarily, as “sounding” is very much the operative word here, as once again Christian delivers the electronic […]

Ciaran McAuley Announces New Album “Finding Me”

Tim Stark

Ironically perhaps, owes its existence to a period of profound creative doubt on Ciaran McAuley’s behalf. After years of forward momentum, the Irish artist found himself questioning not only his own direction, but his relationship with music itself. At that crossroads, rather than forcing (what now only had the appearance of) progress, he chose to […]
