Notre Dame

French electronic producer Notre Dame releases “Candy Cloud”watch here) via his ever-growing PARANORMAL label, accompanied by a full-length anime-style music video hand-crafted by French animator duo Le Megapack. His latest label offering arrives on the heels of his early autumn collaborative single with Alex Wann, The City,” which recently dropped via Armada. To celebrate the release of “Candy Cloud,” Notre Dame hosted a special two-day gallery pop-up in Paris on November 22 & 23, featuring a meticulously curated experience that bridges music, custom visuals, multimedia art, and Parisian culture.

Candy Cloud is not just a track for me, it’s more like an entire universe: from an animated full-length Manga music video to a limited edition 12″ vinyl, a super limited edition art toy of the video’s protagonist, the label’s first showcase at Gate Club and an exclusive art gallery event in my hometown Paris, every piece tells the same dreamy story about illusion, nostalgia, and belief, shares Notre Dame. The art gallery exhibition brings it all together, a bridge between music, art, and childhood imagination.”

Notre Dame’s latest realizes his long-term vision for PARANORMAL as a creative ecosystem where music, visual art, and design converge. Born less than a year ago in a small Parisian apartment surrounded by friends and a pair of speakers, the imprint has evolved from concept to reality with releases like Do For Your Love,” Recollection,” Haunted Nights,” and ongoing support from industry giants, such as  Keinemusik, Solomun, and Adriatique. With “Candy Cloud,” Notre Dame brought his anime-inspired multimedia universe full circle, returning to his hometown of Paris for PARANORMAL’s debut label showcase in early November.

The two-day pop-up aimed to transform the “Candy Cloud” universe into an immersive experience featuring a life-size version of the manga video protagonist, DJ sets, art prints showcasing early drafts of the music video, and exclusive merchandise, including vinyl, apparel, and collectibles. Super limited-edition vinyl art figures of the video’s main character, complete with premium packaging and a custom USB loaded with unreleased Notre Dame music, offer fans a tangible piece of this meticulously crafted world.

“Candy Cloud” caps off a breakout year that has seen Notre Dame rise through electronic music’s most respected circles. His Adriatique collaboration on Timbaland & Nelly Furtado‘s Give It To Me rework became a summer staple, while his return to Solomun‘s DIYNAMIC and contribution to Anyma‘s Afterlife compilation “Quantum Echoes” cemented his status among the scene’s elite. Between high-profile remixes for Röyksopp, Lenny Kravitz, and Blond:ish, a sold-out debut U.S. tour, and releases spanning Kitsuné to Insomniac, Notre Dame has transformed from the artist who quit his corporate job three years ago into one of France’s most innovative voices in contemporary electronic music.
