Already viral on Tiktok and destined to reach stratospheric heights, “Pound Town” is the firstborn offspring of two uncompromising charismatic talents, as producers/selectors Skream & Partiboi69 let loose their single on [HARD Recs], out March 7th.

With the two trailblazers becoming mates in 2020 – Skream went B2B with Partiboi on his infamous “Live From The Stingzone” and hosted Partiboi on Skreamizm events – a collab was inevitable, recorded last summer in the Insomniac LA studios in the down time between Coachella.

“Pound Town”: the typically risqué title and the result of two major talents combining the wealth of genres they’ve mastered and having a lot of fun doing it, results in a dangerously catchy collection of irresistible hooks, bouncy bass, synth melody with an 80s vibe, and robotic vocal which will be sung compulsively on mornings-after for some time to come.

Skream is a multi-skilled, multi-genred producer with deep roots in UK electronic music culture. Standout releases include his highly praised euphoric cross-genre LP “Skreamizm Vol 8,” his CircoLoco Records releases: The Attention Deficit Track & World Is Empty, standout collaborations with artists like Michael Bibi, Bklava and Kelis… His IFEEL imprint allows him free reign to release what he wants musically, and Of Unsound Mind platforms other exceptional artists he rates. His Skreamizm events see him host stages at big festivals to more intimate house/techno/everything goes nights for the discerning music lover, showcasing his aptitude for curating world class line ups, inc. Moodyman, Eliza Rose, Octave One, Kilimanjaro, Interplanetary Criminal, and Tia Cousins. Currently on his Asia, Australia & New Zealand tour, he’ll also play Field Day, Love Saves The Day, Kappa Futurfest and Dour Festival this summer.

Melbourne’s notorious Partiboi69 delivers his serious composing and songwriting skills with high-energy, hedonistic, audaciously provocative global live shows (inc. Movement Detroit, DGTL, Paaspop) and riotous DJ sets, inc. touring with Kettama as KETBOI69 and going B2B with himself in London last year… His releases span breakbeat, acid house, ghetto-tech, electro on labels inc. Gerd Janson’s Running Back and his own Mutual Pleasure imprint, an outlet for his own releases and a wealth of emerging talent inc. Raredub, Bae Blade, MRC-T. “Pound Town” follows his recent remix of Dom Dolla & Tove Lo “CAVE” with X CLUB.. He’s deservingly attracted loyal devotees who can’t get enough of his full-on rave gems, and videos betraying real acting chops and comedic brilliance. He’s currently touring his “Area 69” events across Europe and Australia, and is set to play Extrema Outdoor, Field Day and Parklife.

Nas

Nas, Ownership Over Clout, And The Blueprint For Generational Wealth

Shon Murdock

In hip-hop, wealth has often been measured in visible success, diamond chains, foreign cars, and sold-out arenas. But real power has always lived somewhere quieter, in ownership. Few artists have embodied that evolution more strategically than Nas, a lyricist who turned street poetry into boardroom leverage and transformed rap earnings into generational equity. From the […]

Solarstone And Susie Ledge Release New Single-“Haunt Me”

Tim Stark

Bold prediction perhaps, but we’ll say it anyway: “Haunt Me”‘s a one-and-done — the kind of record that locks you in on first listen and plays on loop in the mind, long after the speakers have gone quiet. In that instant catch, there’s a certain irony too, as, for the first time in his career, […]

Christian Burns Releases Darker Days (Original & Avenue One Mixes)

Tim Stark

From the forward-looking, Jan-hopeful lean of his most recent single “Fall To You,” Christian Burns moves onto the slightly less sanguine sounding “Darker Days.” After all, every lighter yin must result in some shadowy yang, right?? Well not necessarily, as “sounding” is very much the operative word here, as once again Christian delivers the electronic […]

Ciaran McAuley

Ciaran McAuley Announces New Album “Finding Me”

Tim Stark

Ironically perhaps, owes its existence to a period of profound creative doubt on Ciaran McAuley’s behalf. After years of forward momentum, the Irish artist found himself questioning not only his own direction, but his relationship with music itself. At that crossroads, rather than forcing (what now only had the appearance of) progress, he chose to […]
