Melo Mechanics, a new project from Ørjan Nilsen and Fingerling, has launched with the track “Gets Hard.” This song combines raw tech house energy with a modern groove, aimed at peak-time crowds. Their work caught the attention of house music legend Fedde Le Grand, who signed it to his label. Ørjan and Fingerling, best friends and collaborators, have a strong bond in music. Their previous hits have garnered millions of streams, and “Gets Hard” promises more exciting releases ahead.

Ørjan opens up about the project: “Vegar and I have always been into dance music’s more techy and funky side, so we wanted to make something together and focus on the more underground and groovy styles. Being friends for decades made collaboration very easy. We dream of touring together and showing our interpretation of house music.”

Fingerling adds, “Me & Ørjan go way back! And we have always loved funky beats & basslines. We’ve talked about a real duo in the house genre for years. So during lockdown…it was like now or never feeling for me. And now, we’re here.”

Frankyeffe – Out Of This World EP

Tim Stark

Frankyeffe’s calling it an “EP”, though others might argue it’s closer to a full album. Fresh from his ‘One More Night’ outing […]

Waking Up In A Northern Town by Christian Burns

Tim Stark

There’s been a long tradition of musicians from the north of England honouring their origins through their recordings – one that dates back as far as The Beatles’ penning ‘Penny Lane’. ‘North Country Boy’, ‘Hit The North’, ‘Life In A ‘Northern Town’, ‘The North At Its Heights’, ‘It’s Grim Up North’ – just a few […]
