Last month, through the release of “TH3RTY”, his epic in scope and thirty-strong-scale artist album, Mark Sherry marked a significant career waypoint (the clue being in the title!). Within five days of release, it’d hit #1 on the Beatport’s Trance chart and had entered the UK Official Album Downloads Charts at #73, but Mr. Sherry’s never been one to rest on those types of laurels. True to his 24-7 / 365 nature, he’s straight back to the fore today with his new single, “Heroes”.

They say “never meet your heroes,” but here, Mark’s gone one further and worked with one. Writing on Facebook in early March, he said: “I wrote ‘Heroes with the incredible singer songwriter Sarah Howells! I’ve been a huge fan of Sarah ever since she released the amazing ‘Find Yourself’ with John O’Callaghan in 2009, so working with her on this one was genuinely a dream come true.”

With great power comes great responsibility, but Mark doesn’t care a jot about that! “Heroes” is built on charging bass, galloping drums, furious snares, grinding FX and sub-riffs designed to get inside your mind! Sarah’s instantly recognisable (not to mention catchy) vocals capture the mood of Mark’s surging, stay-up-forever production. As she hits its chorus, he backs her to the fullest with his plucked strings, rippling synths and deeply moving piano notes.
March-Madness personified, “Heroes” releases today through all good sales and streaming channels.
