“One More Hit” is the first single from Pattern Perception’s upcoming album, “Spectrum Disorder,” releasing this summer on the Out Yer Box label.
PP shares that he wrote “One More Hit” while high and listening to Leftfield, visualizing music in intricate patterns. He was surprised to discover that the piano piece he loved was actually one of his own creations. The song pays tribute to ethnobotanist Terence McKenna, who promoted responsible use of psychedelic plants. Its dreamy chords are complemented by a heartfelt male vocal, evoking deep emotions as it transitions from night to day.
Pattern Perception was discovered by Rob Miller during a demo feedback session, leading to artist development that paved the way for this single. He began producing music during the Covid lockdown as a creative outlet, quickly becoming passionate about it. His music process is now spontaneous, using diverse sounds and melodies that sometimes feel beyond his control. Since connecting with Jack Said What, he considers them friends and is excited to release “One More Hit.”
