After a period of creative recalibration, Laidback Luke is ready to share his most exciting project in years: his new single, “It Clicked,” out now on Dim Mak. Known for his groundbreaking contributions to the dance music world over the last two decades, Laidback Luke’s latest release marks a bold and unapologetic return to the raw, rebellious sound that made him a force in the underground electronic scene.

With “It Clicked,” Luke reintroduces the gritty, high-energy vibes of his early years, drawing inspiration from the rebellious spirit of Dutch house and Bloghouse pioneers like Crookers, Switch, and The Bloody Beetroots. This new track is a manifesto of his musical evolution—a celebration of the underground rave culture that shaped his artistic journey. The track’s heavy beats, funky rhythms, and intense, electrifying energy echo the bold, experimental sound that defined a generation of dance music fans.

“I looked back at the last decade of my career, and I’ve just been trying to conform to the streaming market,” Luke explains. “I want to return to being me—unapologetically me, which I haven’t felt since 2012. I’m bringing back that big, crazy energy, that early Dutch house meets Bloghouse sound. I want to sound loud, harsh, and funky again.”

“It Clicked” is more than just a song—it’s a moment of artistic and personal discovery. It reflects the artist’s ongoing reinvention, marking the beginning of a new era for the celebrated DJ and producer.

Laidback Luke’s reawakening is further underscored by his signing to Steve Aoki’s legendary Dim Mak label. Luke’s decision to join Dim Mak is more than just a career move—it’s a full-circle moment for the artist, who reflects, “I saw Steve Aoki at Tomorrowland last year and pulled him aside to tell him, ‘Dude, I’m about to be signed to Dim Mak!’ Steve was like, ‘That’s an honor. Welcome to the family.’ It felt like stepping into my big brother’s house.”

Known for mentoring global stars such as Avicii, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens, and Nicky Romero, Laidback Luke’s legacy has always been about more than just the music. As he embarks on his next chapter, Luke is ready to share his creative evolution with the world—one that is fierce, funky, and fearless.

“It Clicked” is the first taste of this reawakening, and it’s just the beginning. With a year full of exciting releases ahead, fans can expect more of the raw energy and infectious rhythms that made Laidback Luke an icon.

Get ready for the revolution. The sound of Laidback Luke is back, and it’s loud.

Nas

Nas, Ownership Over Clout, And The Blueprint For Generational Wealth

Shon Murdock

In hip-hop, wealth has often been measured in visible success, diamond chains, foreign cars, and sold-out arenas. But real power has always lived somewhere quieter, in ownership. Few artists have embodied that evolution more strategically than Nas, a lyricist who turned street poetry into boardroom leverage and transformed rap earnings into generational equity. From the […]

Solarstone And Susie Ledge Release New Single-“Haunt Me”

Tim Stark

Bold prediction perhaps, but we’ll say it anyway: “Haunt Me”‘s a one-and-done — the kind of record that locks you in on first listen and plays on loop in the mind, long after the speakers have gone quiet. In that instant catch, there’s a certain irony too, as, for the first time in his career, […]

Christian Burns Releases Darker Days (Original & Avenue One Mixes)

Tim Stark

From the forward-looking, Jan-hopeful lean of his most recent single “Fall To You,” Christian Burns moves onto the slightly less sanguine sounding “Darker Days.” After all, every lighter yin must result in some shadowy yang, right?? Well not necessarily, as “sounding” is very much the operative word here, as once again Christian delivers the electronic […]

Ciaran McAuley Announces New Album “Finding Me”

Tim Stark

Ironically perhaps, owes its existence to a period of profound creative doubt on Ciaran McAuley’s behalf. After years of forward momentum, the Irish artist found himself questioning not only his own direction, but his relationship with music itself. At that crossroads, rather than forcing (what now only had the appearance of) progress, he chose to […]
