Pioneers of Cinematic House Music – Klangkarussell, Release First Album in Over Decade – “Petrichor,” Journey Through Euphoria and Introspection

Over a decade since their chart-smashing debut body of work – “Netzwerk,” Austrian duo Klangkarussell are back with a long-awaited follow-up. Their second album, “Petrichor,” released on November 07 via their own imprint Bias Beach Records, is a record of cinematic highs, intimate lows, and dancefloor-ready moments. Where “Netzwerk” cemented Klangkarussell‘s reputation with global hits and dancefloor impact, “Petrichor” dives deeper – threading together stories of resilience, family, love, and self-discovery across 13 tracks. It’s a project that finds the sweet spot between club euphoria and emotional resonance. Within that journey lies “Ride” – a track that nods to the shimmering soundscapes of 80s disco, reframed through Klangkarussell‘s modern production lens. Pulsing with neon synths and carefree energy, it arrives as one of the album’s most unexpected turns, contrasting beautifully with its more introspective moments. “Truth Begins,” featuring Blazey, opens the album with hypnotic arpeggios, cinematic breakdowns, and a groove-driven kick that captures the tension and release of confronting one’s own truth. Both a dancefloor weapon and a moment of emotional catharsis, it’s accompanied by a striking music video featuring Olympic gold medalist Anna Gasser. Other highlights include “Cross The Border,” featuring Bloom Twins, a deeply personal song about family life during wartime in Ukraine, and “The Tide,” featuring Elmar, where haunting vocals meet lush, flowing production. “Sun Went Down, Sky Went Dark,” featuring GIVVEN and Senes, blends melodic and Afro house into a bittersweet, sunset-ready anthem. With collaborations from BlazeyGIVVENBloom TwinsOlivaRedward MartinElmarMarieme, and SenesPetrichoris not just a follow-up to “Netzwerk” – it’s a bold evolution. An album that moves seamlessly from the cinematic to the intimate, blending organic warmth with electronic precision, solidifying Klangkarussell as one of electronic music’s most dynamic voices. Now, as Klangkarussell look ahead to 2026, the duo are working on bringing their acclaimed sound back to the stage in the form of a brand-new live act show, their first in over a decade, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their journey.

We wanted this album to feel like a journey through our world – the highs, the struggles, the quiet moments, the big ones. ‘Petrichor‘ is about renewal, about finding beauty in change, just like the smell of rain after a storm.” – Klangkarussell

Klangkarussell have spent over a decade shaping the electronic music landscape with their emotionally rich and genre-defying sound. As the Austrian duo behind the global hit “Sonnentanz(Sun Don’t Shine),” Adrian Held and Tobias Rieser are widely recognized as pioneers of tropical house, laying the sonic foundation for a movement that would go on to captivate audiences around the world. Their groundbreaking blend of organic instrumentation, deep grooves, and captivating melodies helped define a new era in dance music. With over 2 billion streams worldwide, Klangkarussell‘s influence is far-reaching. Their signature ability to fuse cinematic emotion with irresistible rhythm has allowed them to thrive across both underground and mainstream scenes. Since founding their independent label Bias Beach Records in 2019, the duo have embraced a renewed creative freedom, releasing music that reflects their continued evolution while staying true to their roots. Singles like “Ghostkeeper” (with GIVVEN), “Shipwreck,” “Home,” “Afterglow,” and their 2025 track “Let Me Come To Life” have collectively amassed over 400 million streams, further solidifying their reputation as one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking acts. Their productions are characterized by lush synth textures, evocative melodies, and pristine sound design and resonate deeply with listeners worldwide. This success extends to the live stage, with high-energy DJ sets and performances at major festivals and events including Lollapalooza BerlinCRSSD Festival San DiegoUltra MiamiPukkelpop BelgiumRock Am RingBaum Festival Colombia, and MECA Festival Brazil. In 2024, they joined Kygo on his World Tour across 11 shows in Europe, bringing their signature sound to an even wider global audience. As 2025 is about to conclude, Klangkarussell continue to push the boundaries of their artistry, with more new music on the way. Their journey has been one of reinvention and creative growth, yet their commitment to emotionally charged, timeless electronic music remains unchanged. Still evolving, still surprising – Klangkarussell are keeping the world dancing.

Nas, Ownership Over Clout, And The Blueprint For Generational Wealth

Shon Murdock

In hip-hop, wealth has often been measured in visible success, diamond chains, foreign cars, and sold-out arenas. But real power has always lived somewhere quieter, in ownership. Few artists have embodied that evolution more strategically than Nas, a lyricist who turned street poetry into boardroom leverage and transformed rap earnings into generational equity. From the […]

Solarstone And Susie Ledge Release New Single-“Haunt Me”

Tim Stark

Bold prediction perhaps, but we’ll say it anyway: “Haunt Me”‘s a one-and-done — the kind of record that locks you in on first listen and plays on loop in the mind, long after the speakers have gone quiet. In that instant catch, there’s a certain irony too, as, for the first time in his career, […]

Christian Burns Releases Darker Days (Original & Avenue One Mixes)

Tim Stark

From the forward-looking, Jan-hopeful lean of his most recent single “Fall To You,” Christian Burns moves onto the slightly less sanguine sounding “Darker Days.” After all, every lighter yin must result in some shadowy yang, right?? Well not necessarily, as “sounding” is very much the operative word here, as once again Christian delivers the electronic […]

Ciaran McAuley Announces New Album “Finding Me”

Tim Stark

Ironically perhaps, owes its existence to a period of profound creative doubt on Ciaran McAuley’s behalf. After years of forward momentum, the Irish artist found himself questioning not only his own direction, but his relationship with music itself. At that crossroads, rather than forcing (what now only had the appearance of) progress, he chose to […]
