STBAN

Traditional flamenco music, rich in culture and passion, continues to evolve, now reaching a modern audience through STBAN, the boss of FLAMENCA Records. On June 20th, STBAN released an original single titled “LA PALMA,” distributed by Toolroom Records. This track emphasizes traditional flamenco hand clapping, a form of percussion that sets the rhythm for flamenco dance and enhances its emotional intensity. STBAN and co-producer Bryan Coletta capture this energy in the song, featuring vocals by G. Zamora

We were with STBAN in the studio and it was a track that came together very, very fast,” Coletta said. “It matches the vibe of flamenco in its values. Flamenco House is something I’ve been doing quite a lot, we’ve worked with Gypsy Kings in the past. I have a very good feeling about this track, I think it’s going to be a club banger, I’ve tried it on the dance floor. It’s been a great pleasure to work with STBAN and his team. I think the relationship I have with FLAMENCA is going to be long lasting, I’m a big supporter of the project, I believe in it a lot and I’m excited for the release.

“LA PALMA” combines Latin heat with electric guitars, trumpets, and syncopated hand claps, creating a vibrant sound. The single is accompanied by a visually striking video filmed in Marrakech, highlighting the Arabic roots of flamenco. The video depicts Moroccans of all ages dancing joyfully while wearing headphones, embodying the universal joy of music. Watch video HERE.

STBAN chose Morocco for the video to reflect the global heritage of flamenco. Talking about why he decided to shoot the video in Morocco, STBAN explained: “I didn’t want to show just Spain; Morocco and the Arabian countries are where the roots of flamenco comes from. I wanted to have that Arabic energy visible, to really connect the song to its global heritage. I’m really happy we could make the video on the streets of Marakkech with the people of the city dancing to the song so authentically. I hope everyone will enjoy and dance to our music in festivals, clubs, everywhere, with the same kind of freedom.

Nas, Ownership Over Clout, And The Blueprint For Generational Wealth

Shon Murdock

In hip-hop, wealth has often been measured in visible success, diamond chains, foreign cars, and sold-out arenas. But real power has always lived somewhere quieter, in ownership. Few artists have embodied that evolution more strategically than Nas, a lyricist who turned street poetry into boardroom leverage and transformed rap earnings into generational equity. From the […]

Solarstone And Susie Ledge Release New Single-“Haunt Me”

Tim Stark

Bold prediction perhaps, but we’ll say it anyway: “Haunt Me”‘s a one-and-done — the kind of record that locks you in on first listen and plays on loop in the mind, long after the speakers have gone quiet. In that instant catch, there’s a certain irony too, as, for the first time in his career, […]

Christian Burns Releases Darker Days (Original & Avenue One Mixes)

Tim Stark

From the forward-looking, Jan-hopeful lean of his most recent single “Fall To You,” Christian Burns moves onto the slightly less sanguine sounding “Darker Days.” After all, every lighter yin must result in some shadowy yang, right?? Well not necessarily, as “sounding” is very much the operative word here, as once again Christian delivers the electronic […]

Ciaran McAuley Announces New Album “Finding Me”

Tim Stark

Ironically perhaps, owes its existence to a period of profound creative doubt on Ciaran McAuley’s behalf. After years of forward momentum, the Irish artist found himself questioning not only his own direction, but his relationship with music itself. At that crossroads, rather than forcing (what now only had the appearance of) progress, he chose to […]
