THE FIRST ARTIST ALBUM FROM ONE OF JAPAN’S FOREMOST ELECTRONIC MUSIC TALENTS. FEATURING MUSICAL COLLABORATIONS WITH CHRISTINA NOVELLI, JULIE THOMPSON, LINNEA SCHOSSOW, CLARA YATES, CARI AND OTHERS

From Tokyo’s high-rises to the farthest edges of sound, one figure has spent the last decade bending studio frequencies to her will. Over that time, she’s built nothing less than a sonic solar system, with Rina “Rinaly” Noguchi firmly at its core.

“Ecliptica,” her debut longform. takes its title cues from the passage of the sun — a rotation where shadow and luminosity are locked in a permanent state of pursuit. First track through last, that chase musically characterizes the album, cycling between mass and elevation, brightness to grit and synth glare to bass drive … “Ecliptica”‘s opposing poles are formed by techno and trance, and the artistic yin-yang they develop is one Rinaly both identifies with and channels throughout.

“My life has been a journey through extremes: light and dark, highs and lows, rapture and despair. Techno, with its deep, driving intensity, embodies the darkness, the struggles, and the power of perseverance, while the uplifting melodies of trance, to me, represent light, hope and transcendence. Together, they form the balance I’ve long fought to find myself.

For years, I wrestled with my mental health” Rinally continues, “experiencing both the beauty and the brutality of life. I faced some of my darkest moments and making it through felt like witnessing the dawn after an endless night. This album is more than music; it is my story, my survival, and my way of sharing that passage with others.”

Ranged across “Ecliptica”‘s cosmos is an all-female cast of vocal fire — a line-up as tonally diverse as it is artistically fearless. Amongst them are Christina Novelli, whose centring voice ignites recent single ‘Set A Fire,’ and trance legend Julie Thompson, who dazzles on the airborne “Running.” Also joining Rina’s constellation are Cari, Clara Yates, Brieanna Grace, and (flanked by H4lo) Linnea Schossow, each of whom bring their signature inflexions, while Donna Tella stretches ‘Ecliptica’s spectrum all the way through to drum & bass.

Rinaly concludes: “I am deeply honoured to have the opportunity to share this with the world, and I especially long to inspire and empower other women and producers. No matter what you’re facing, you are strong enough to push through. That, at its heart, is the essence of this album.”
