Tommy Farrow

Marking his debut on Purified Records, U.K. producer Tommy Farrow presents the bright “Set Me Free” EP, a two-track collection that emphasizes his unique fusion of emotionally charged songs and powerful, club-ready arrangements. Renowned for establishing a distinctive corner in melodic house and techno, Farrow offers “Set Me Free” and “Human After All,” two soaring songs combining genuine musicality, inspiring energy, and immersive sound design.

Beginning with the title tune, “Set Me Free” exudes a cheerful, optimistic mood supported by brilliant synth lines and a moving almost gospel-like vocal. With warmth and transcendence, its slow build and emotional core sets the mood for the EP by generating an encounter that is both intimate and celebratory. Conversely, “Human After All” adds a more reflective element by encircling a bright, developing synth lead with warm pads and complex percussion. The song shows Farrow’s skill in shaping emotion through melody by means of its deep, resonant groove and meditative mood. It presents a reflective counterpoint.

Tommy Farrow has developed as one of the most interesting new voices in electronic music ever since his breakthrough song “Let’s Just” in 2020. With support from tastemakers like Pete Tong and international artists including RUFUS DU SOL, Kevin de Vries, and Arodes, and with tunes named Hottest Record in the World by BBC Radio 1, Kevin de Vries’s ascent has been quick and warranted. Bringing his passionate sound to the Purified family, Tommy Farrow offers the “Set Me Free” EP—a release as moving on the dancefloor as it is in the headphones—and a fascinating new chapter in his always-evolving artistry.

Taken by Kelsey Williamson, the Set Me Free work depicts a wave of sardines. An adventurer and photographer, Kelsey is driven by a need to see the most distant and beautiful places of the world. Her paintings reflect untamed terrain and undersea wonders, therefore motivating a closer link to the wild and a thirst for the unfamiliar.

Besides producing a breathtaking visual spectacle, the synchronized motions of these fish are essential for sustaining the ocean ecosystem’s equilibrium. Their enormous schools encourage nutrient circulation, which helps to control plankton numbers and serves as a major food source for marine predators, therefore supporting marine biodiversity and ecosystem balance. Still, many fish species are under great strain as a result of lax laws, damaging fishing techniques, and insufficient marine protected areas even if they are absolutely essential. By establishing strict requirements for sustainable fishing, groups such the Marine Stewardship Council (@mscecolabel) are helping to empower local communities, support responsible practices, and guarantee a better future for our ocean.
