Following the release of “For The Beloved” by Dave Beer & The Blessed, which featured Robert Owens and Todd Terry‘s remixes, comes their second release. It leads up to their debut album dropping on July 4, 2025.

The first track, “Come Together,” is a chill, glitchy song with lyrics by Sundiata Oba Mausi, known for his work with Chez Damier and Ron Trent in Detroit. The vocals were recorded 30 years ago when Dave met Sundiata in America. The track carries an important environmental message about saving the planet, particularly concerning the Ozone layer, emphasizing the need for collective action.

The second track, “Erectile,” features lively beats and samples of nature sounds, along with a light-hearted spoken word. Dave recorded his own breathing for this track, which symbolizes his celebration of life after a serious health scare in late 2024. The title “Erectile” comes from an amusing memory with an ex-girlfriend, capturing a non-sexual but humorous essence.

Dave Beer is the founder of the club Back 2 Basics, pivotal in the 1990s club scene, supporting many renowned DJs. A recent Buddhist convert, this single reflects his return to the dance scene, celebrating unity.
