Label Watch: Crosstown Rebels/Rebellion

Damian Lazarus has been deemed a “mysterious” personality in various write-ups and interviews over the years. If you visit his website, and take a gander at the photos of the respected and successful DJ, Producer and Record Label head, I think your first impression will be one of wanting to learn more about Lazarus and the music he’s producing and releasing through Crosstown Rebels and its companion label Rebellion.

For years now, both imprints have been releasing cutting edge music that consistently and easily breaks through the proverbial underground. As such, Lazarus has also seen his artist roster grow to around 150 acts that include the likes of Art Department, Audiojack, Dinky, Dirty Channels, Felix Da Housecat, Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, PBR Streetgang, Serge Devant, Skream, Timo Maas and Seth Trexler to name a few, and many of which have been written up, not only in the pages of this magazine, but other major media outlets worldwide.

2017 productions having been released thus far include the “Get Lost Miami 2017-12th Session” Compilation, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons “I Found You” (Remixes by Black Coffee and Patrice Baümel), Route 94’s “Mind Body & Soul,” Kevin Knapp’s “Find Me,” Joeski “Tribute EP,” NU’s “Man O To EP,” John Monkman’s “EPOCH” and “Harmonix,” and Paris Green’s “You Got To Try.”
