Warner Music Group has introduced a new app named WMG Pulse, designed to provide artists and songwriters with valuable insights. The app allows WMG musicians, their managers, and teams to access real-time data about streaming performance, fan engagement, and earnings from multiple platforms. Developed by WMG’s internal tech team, it aggregates information from major digital service providers and social media.
The app offers a unified view of streaming trends, audience engagement, and earnings from royalties, physical sales, and more. Currently in beta testing with over 100 artists and songwriters, WMG Pulse will be widely available later this year, with ongoing feedback from users helping improve its features, including forecasting and collaboration tools.
Ariel Bardin, WMG’s President of Technology, emphasized the app’s goal of enhancing transparency within the music industry, providing a user-friendly experience for artists. Bardin, formerly with Google and YouTube, is also leading the development of another app for superfans, featuring Ed Sheeran, which is moving closer to completion.
